ABOUT
Who Am I ?
Liangchen Sui is a visual designer, experimental communicator and sound artist who graduated from the Royal College of Art with a MA in visual communication design in 2022.
She is pursuing a PhD(Sound Art) at Goldsmiths, University of London, focusing on the interdisciplinary field of visual art and acoustic ecology.
Taking a multi-phased approach, she aims to explore the boundaries between art and design through interdisciplinary experimentation, especially examining the boundary between audio-visual design and contemporary art. Her intrinsic interests which range from sound, language, music, installation, performance and multi-sensory media, informed by related theoretical areas such as acoustic ecology, semiotics, musicology, psychology, philosophy and Technoethics, constitute the driving force underpinning her practice.
She currently focuses on the duality of the relationship between humans and non-humans. Established through a process of critical thinking and making around non-anthropocentrism, she hopes to return the power of discourse to non-human beings. Her works aspire to challenge and reshape the rules and forms of language in the post-human era, to formulate a universal language in new contexts. Essentially, her vision is to prepare for the future of species ambiguity, symbiosis and mixing, through her understanding, perception and study of the surrounding world.
隋良晨是一位居住在伦敦的平面设计师、实验传播者和声音艺术探索者，硕士毕业于英国皇家艺术学院，主修视觉传达平面设计专业。她正在伦敦大学金史密斯学院攻读声音艺术博士学位，研究视觉和声学生态学的跨学科领域。
她采用多阶段的方法，旨在通过跨学科实验探索艺术与设计之间的界限，特别是审视视听设计与当代艺术之间的界限。她目前专注于人类与非人类之间关系的二元性，通过批判地思考非人类中心主义，将话语的力量还给非人类，挑战和重塑后人类时代的语言规则和形式，在新的语境中形成一种通用语言。本质上，她想通过对周围世界的理解、感知和研究，为物种模糊、共生和混合的未来做好准备。
